We have been here twice for a Monday to Friday break with a visually impaired couple and their children. Before we went for the first time I wasn't really sure what to expect, but we had a great time. All the staff were fantastic - so friendly and helpful. All the other guests were lovely. It's nearly all family groups during the week, so there is a really nice feel to the place.
The entertainment was good, although the sound level during the panto was a bit too loud, especially for kids. There was a wide variety of food in the restaurants, and the people who work there were great, very helpful, especially Tom! Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a family holiday.

Had a lovely holiday with our 2 year old daughter. Lots of rides, play activities and shows which were mostly free. Height restrictions on some rides (minimum 0.9m or 1.2m). On site dining/drinks were reasonably priced and had good selection of restaurants/bars as well as a shop. Large amusement/arcade section with lots of pay for games and you could easily spend 30+ a day.
Room was a good size as well as the bed and the balcony with a nice sea view. Separate children's bedroom with 2 beds, a TV and nicely decorated. Colour changing mood lighting in main room. The beach and town is right outside. Exhausting but a lot of fun.

Mid week break with a 2 & 3 year old. Premium dining package. food was really good. No complaints there. Entertainment and staff really good and organized. Our accommodation was in the oldest block on site and wasn't in any way as good as previously stayed in Silver level accommodation. But issues that arose were dealt with. Will return again this year.

Day trip for friends sons birthday. Amazing place for children, such a lot for them to do. Well worth the day entry cost. For us adults - behaving like kids for a day was a very welcome break - watched a show, played on a few arcade games ( loved Mario kart ) and enjoyed some ice cream. Thank you for the very valuable down time. Had a great day!

Spent 4 nights here with daughter and Grandchildren. Brilliant place for kids of all ages. Stayed in the Ocean Hotel and had a dining plan that included breakfast and dinner. Food was excellent! Served buffet style so you could choose what you wanted and have as much as you pleased. The choices were good and very suitable for small kids. Busy days filled with visits to the outside fairground, indoor fairground and soft play and amusement arcade. Evening entertainment was 1st class and table service for drinks via the B-Serve app was quick and easy. Will definitely be booking another break in the future!

It's incredible! The staff deserve all the praise. They are all friendly and lovely and helpful! From reception, to bar staff to lifeguards, they were fantastic. We went to mighty hoopla adult weekend and my god did they through a good party. It was brilliant. But seriously all the bar staff, door staff and just everyone who we encountered was lovely and welcoming and helpful. Well done Butlins, service as it should be.

Butlins customer service is shocking, they've had our money over 2 years now due to covid but said I could have a full refund at the end of November, apparently it can take 28 days so waited and nothing. On the phone for over an hour to be told 7 more days, another hour on the phone to be told 5 days but assured it would go in this time. Another. hour on the phone and she took all details of bank card to do a bacs and promised it would be in in 2 days and I definitely wouldn't need to call back.
Well guess who's going to be on the phone another hour this morning as another 5 days have passed and still nothing. Absolute joke of a company, you can take the money out ok but don't certainly don't like to give it back

Absolutely fantastic Blues Rock weekend. Great choice of food in the restaurant. (We bought the food package and ate in the Coral Restaurant). The music was really good with some great bands. All the staff at the site were very professional and helpful. We have had a wonderful experience and we will definitely be going back to Skegness for another weekend.

We stayed in a gold apartment and this was really the main negative of the holiday. It was not in a particularly good state of repair and cleanliness. We had the food court dining and whilst the food was great value for money the restaurant had a canteen feel to it and there were constant and sometimes long queues. Based on that next time we'd go for premium dining at this resort.
We've had the food court at Skegness and really enjoyed it so I think it depends on which resort it is. There was loads of entertainment and activities on for the kids, the resort felt safe and clean. The swimming pool was the best part, our kids absolutely loved it. It can be really hard to take them swimming as we have 1.5 year twins and a 2, 7 and 11 year old but there was plenty of fun and slides for them all and it felt safe too as a large area was very shallow with lots of fun stuff for them to do.
The changing rooms were massive too so shouldn't be a problem getting one. We had lots of fun at the outdoor fairground and there were rides even our youngest could go on. We loved the indoor toddler fairground in the tent the only thing that needs improvement is the soft play for toddlers. It was really poor and not really suitable for young toddlers as there are large steps to climb up and nothing on the ground level.
The main play frame is supervised at the door with a minimum height that would probably be suitable for about aged 4+. This is great but 3 of our children were too small to go on so an improved toddler area would have been useful when the older ones were playing. All in all a fantastic value holiday and if you've got young kids you can't beat it really in terms of value for money.

Starting with the good points: The food on offer was of a good standard, and there was plenty of it. With a reasonable amount of choice. The swimming was really good, with slides and fountains and plenty to do with children. The water was nice and warm as well. On site entertainment was good as well. Bad points: I stayed in Dolphin Court, which was just awful.
As soon as I opened the front door. The stench of smoke was unreal. It wasn't just my room, my in laws who were in the room underneath mine. Had exactly the same problem. As soon as I got home, and opened my suitcase. I could smell Butlins Skegness on all my clothes. Even the ones I hadn't worn. During my 3 night stay, there was a massive puddle right outside my room. This didn't disappear at all. We had to jump over it, to get in and out my room every time. Never again will I be going to a butlins.

Went during Covid and rooms were disgustingly dirty! Dirty sheets left outside the room, hairy razors left in the shower and by the plug. The walls and curtains had thick dust. Complained to the guest services but they were shutting and said someone would come to take the sheets. Also told a member of staff walking around who told me they were new. and didn't know what to do about it and walked away!
Also bought my son a toy which wasn't working and told to change the batteries when home as it was due to it having a test feature but didn't work when we got home. Took a month to get that sorted! And now been told they can't do anything in regards to the cleanliness! Poor hygiene and poor customer service.

The app didn't work and we couldn't pre book any shows, so when we turned up we were turned away from the snows and called customer services and told everything is full and nothing they could do, we are left. playing 2 p gambling machines all day, we were told no refund because shows are subject to availability and if they are not available it's tough luck, so you are basically paying for a room and not entertainment

Spent New Year here, had the best time, entertainment was good. (Apart from Robbie Williams great singer, bad song choices), food great, always something going on, I often read reviews that are littered with moans about accommodation, basic as our room was, we only ever use the room as a base to sleep and store belongings in, and from this we have no qualms with our room. Facilities spot on. Plenty to do, always a show or something going on. Definitely be back

I love Butlins. We go every year at Christmas time and my kids always enjoy the experience. The accommodation is fine. We always pick a gold or equivalent apartment. The food package is ok for the price. There are various food packages available, but there's many restaurants and if you have an apartment, you can cook yourself. The entertainment is good and we love the swimming pool. Try it for a weekend!

Rubbish entertainment, more activity's that require payments, time slots that are difficult to remember and a smart phone to have the app as there is no customer service on site at skegness more security then actually staff and very over priced mediocre food. Currently at the Christmas break rooms are dirty, broken and out dated also blocking people who are posting there opinions however polite but not to the advantages of Butlin's people get blocked

Positives: Shows were plentiful and the ones we saw were of good quality. Huge variety of activities; many free. Very pleasant/helpful staff team. Lovely view from the hotel balcony. Stayed in the Ocean Hotel which is ideally placed. High level of cleanliness. Not so great: Need more lifts in the hotel. Food buffets in the hotel were adequate and worked out cheaper (with the deal) than buying meals when there, but while some products were good quality; others very hit and miss. Would be nice to have the tea and coffee in rooms topped up during stay which happens in most hotels.

Wonderful Christmas break. Our apt was a bit grubby, with dirty skirting boards, dried on food on the front of the oven, lots of little things, but the beds and shower were clean. On site we had a great time, our Christmas Dinner in the Beachcomer was great and the staff were fabulous, all of them but Bill and Kyle who we had most to do with were beyond nice helpful and funny.

First impressions wasn't too good I'm disabled and was struggling with a broken suitcase no gate staff helped n struggled to find a luggage trolley. Pool was lovely n warm had an amazing few hours in there kids loved the water slides and rapids. The fairground was good not a massive choice of rides and some being the same that were there 20 years ago.
But the kids loved it.amazing staff my only concern was long waits for shows that only lasted an hour not sure if that's because it's a Xmas break or not. Internal restaurants were brilliant.

Great place for a family holiday or a over 18s break, affordable accommodation that's worth the money, little more expensive tho at special occasions and holiday season for the kids. Well worth going, plenty entertainment on site attractions, fair ground rides, live shows, music or head to the beach which is literally a few minutes walk. Been nice to get away even though the weather hasn't been great but eh oh it is November in the UK, what do you expect. up if this comment was helpful.

Would have rated more. If check out was later than 10 am and also if I didn't see the rat outside my room. A nice place designed for young and old alike. Pub kitchen, excellent on first night of arrival. Soho coffee very handy for takeout breakfast. Fire house excellent and got in at short notice excellent staff services and children. Also the pub opposite Firehouse. Excellent staff also and excellent steak cooked well done. Red good entertainment

I was dubious about going to butlins (i went for a hen weekend) but oh how wrong i was! butlins is fab. there is so much variety and loads to do - including outside the park (which I didnt get to but read about). the food is a bit pricey, as you would expect from these places, but the cooking facilities within the cabins are great (we stayed in gold cabins though, lower grades may differ!). the central dome is where it all happens, and for us it was nighttime. there are loads of bars, clubs and reaturants open for most of the night. there is something for everyone and I can honestly say that not one person complained in our party (a party of 20 women and not one complaint!) the spa facilities are good, nice and relaxing. we didnt get treatments so cant comment onthose, but they are offered and theprices looked reasonable - about average for anywhere. in the spa, you get free drinks. this isnt advertised so make the most of it if you do know! easy to get to, easy to get around, and a great time!

My little boy loves butlins, and so do i most of the time. Except the last time we went, all the redcoats seemed to do was market the cheap products in the toy shop. children were crying because they had said 'go ask mum to buy this or she doesnt love you!' they may have been joking but the kids are too young to understand. plenty of entertainment though and its right on the beach

12 of us went to Butlins for a 90's weekend. It was fab! Its quite a big site so there is a bit of walking to do but its worth it! The main bit is right in the middle, and its got loads to do. Obviously our experience was aimed more to evening activities than anything else, which they catered for fantasticly. Theres a few clubs that have different things on and a few pubs/bars to go round beforehand if you fancy it.
We were staying self catering so didn't really experience the food but the bits I did have were good. There was loads of people there and everyone was in the mood to party so there's a great atmosphere. The acts were cheesy but you wouldn't expect anything less! We stayed in the Gold accomodation and even then the price was very reasonable, but I suppose it would be with so many of us staying.
There is also buses going from the main entrance into Skeg if you fancy a trip out. If you're up for a party with your mates and you like a bit of cheese, this is the place to go!
