We're not like other school expedition providers. As a social enterprise, we are driven by our strong sense of purpose, which forms our foundation and determines every aspect of the way we operate. We invest in building permanent camps in the heart of the places we care about. We commit to the highest standards of responsible tourism throughout all our operations.
We work in partnership with local communities and employ a fantastically diverse team of passionate staff around the globe. Most importantly, we put purpose before profit, always.

Services
Whether you want some advice on how to launch your own expedition, are looking for some fundraising inspiration or would like some more info on our amazing programmes and destinations, we're here to help. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and ethically and will never share it with any third parties.
We've been working with teachers that share our passion since 2002 and have a bunch of fantastic ex-teacher employees in our team. So, we really do understand the extreme workload and time constraints that teachers face, which often results in feeling overwhelmed at the prospect of preparing for a successful school expedition.
At Camps, we understand that academic success is just one element of education. That's why we offer experiences that go beyond the classroom, giving you the opportunity to develop key life skills, cultural understanding and a global perspective for an increasingly international 21st century. We ensure students are fully supported throughout their travels with outstanding staff to student ratios.
In line with the aims of our social enterprise, our resources are completely free for all teachers, regardless of whether your school is travelling with us. However, the benefits to student development are hugely enhanced by the opportunity to apply the learning in real-world situations on expedition.

Stay clear of this company, do not be fooled by their very polished sales pitches. Wish I could leave zero. I paid the deposit and 1st payment 1600 in total. I pulled my son with well over a year to go due to covid and these people pressuring for further payments even though the trip was pushed back a year. Communication non existant except demands for money. Needless to say even with 18 months to go no refunds as all the money had gone on expenses.
By the way these expenses were just general business running expenses that should not fall upon their customers. Any responsible parent would do well to avoid these chancers. I managed to keep my losses to 1600 by realising what was going on others have not been so lucky.

Avoid using Camps International at all costs. They have pocketed over 30,000 in profit for a trip that never took place due to Covid. Worse still, they have refused to reimburse many families who are now owed over 800 each. Literally avoid like the plague. I could not trust Camps International with my money, so how can anyone trust them with their children. A 1 star rating here is actually an insult to a company that genuinely does deserve a 1 star. But it's impossible to put 0.

Terrible company. Avoid at all costs. They currently owe us 1385 in a refund for a trip that they finally admitted they needed to cancel in May. Hundreds of parents are down thousands of pounds because of them. They've removed their number from the website. Don't respond to emails, refund money is coming through in dribs and drabs. They lied about having COVID-19 travel insurance, don't give a monkeys about child safety. Just save your money and go elsewhere.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value Avoid like the plaque. They only interested in your money. We have unfortunately come into difficulty with paying so are forced to cancel the trip won't refund one penny. No support really they promise so much but deliver so little. Wished I read reviews on here first as I wouldn't of lost so much money. You have been warned. Service: Group tours

AVOID THIS COMPANY! THIEVES! The way this company has behaved is disgraceful. There has been zero communication from them regarding 2021 school expeditions that were clearly not going to be going ahead due to the Pandemic but still insisting on payment otherwise forfeiting money already paid. They have even turned there phone's off so you cannot even contact them.
Now the DFE have issued clear guidance that it would be unsafe for the trips to go ahead they are still refusing to pay money back even though the whole trip was ATOL protected offering a mere 50% back of a trip costing over 4000. If you are a parent thinking of letting your child go on expedition with this company think again they have no regard for your child's safety and if you are a school thinking of letting these thieves into your school to present a fancy evening showcasing how wonderful they are I would seriously recommend you avoid them!

The people giving this a 1 star dont know what they are saying. my brother went to Tanzania and really did have the time of his life. the people saying they are only interested in money, of course we would need a lot of money to pay for everything. also people complaining about the hygiene. the whole point is to be going to poor countries to help with the community. the people writing the 1 star reviews just weren't expecting how much real survival skills you would need for this its not just a holiday in a hotel, your there for work. Love this group im going asap. x

My brother wanted to go to Kenya to do some VOLUNTARY WORK? But had to come up with 4000 for 4 weeks but the teacher who went along they would be Gratis(paid for by the kids)! Plus the children would on top of that would have to sort out their OWN inoculations, visas, suitable attire, footwear etc. CAMPS INTERNATIONAL said it was for the cost of the the children's lodgings, food (from what they said it would be mainly pasta-cann't get any cheaper food!) they're not even getting local cuisine for the experience! They added that it was also for TOOLS (how/why do they not reuse tools) and for the MATERIALS! MASSIVE CON so the kids are paying for everything! Not Just Volunteering!
