The review written by Dumbovotts Cs is clearly written by a Cachet salesperson. If you review their account, they indicate that they didn't buy a membership, but then bought one according to a review of a different Cachet business. My wife and I were wrangled into a Cachet Partners Group pitch after having filled out a ballot for something or other at a bridal show prior to our wedding.
To call Cachet's tactics high-pressure would be the understatement of the millennium. We were lured in with the promise of guaranteed no-purchase-necessary prizes, and they managed to hook us into buying into their services. We immediately, as in on the drive home, got buyers' remorse, and called to notify that we wished to cancel. Thinking they could change our minds, the Cachet representative didn't process our refund right away.
She tried to change our mind, first saying that they could split the payment into monthly installments, but that we wouldn't be able to use any of the discounts until it was paid off. We declined, indicating that we simply wanted our credit card purchase to be reversed. They called again, saying that they could split the payment into monthly installments, and that we could use the service right away.
At this point, we demanded that they process the refund, or we would report them to our credit card company. The refund was processed a few days later. Oh, and the prizes? Although they offer a trip, a TV a laptop or a tablet, everyone walks out winning a tablet, which can easily be purchased at Best Buy for about $75. Not worth the frustration. If these people call you, do yourself a favour and tell them to lose your contact information.
