How do I make a booking? What if I need to change my plans? Yes, you can but you must meet our minimum requirements to take on work as a driver for Lime Travel and provided continuous work for us for a minimum period of 6 months. As soon as we are satisfied that the driver being recommended meets our minimum requirements and all the conditions for making a recommendation are met.
Once you've submitted an application form and paid the fees you will need to book yourself onto the TDC knowledge test. There is a charge to take the test and for every retake of the test. You will be tested in the following subject areas. You will need to complete the Blue lamp trust online e-learning safeguarding course which will provide you with relevant study material for the TDC test paper.
If you are looking to become a Taxi or Private Hire driver then you will need to submit an application to Thanet District Council, Once you've submitted an application you will need to take a Local Knowledge exam, testing you on several subject areas including the following. After several phone calls in the Ramsgate area, trying to find a professional voice on the line I discovered Lime Travel. Paul answered phone clearly understood what I needed - A 9 seater for a 100 mile journey. Driver Barry arrived within 30 mins. He helped us load our heavy baggage. Then kindly stoped at the gas station to collect snacks for the kids. Smooth, safe journey all the way. Don't bother with any other company in Thanet, go straight to Lime Travel.
