Essential Iceland

An experience of a lifetime! It was quite an investment when we decided to take a helicopter tour. We considered other companies but Nordurflug made us feel comfortable from our first inquiry. Elisabet was phenomenal in answering our questions and working with our schedule and their constraints. We did the Essential Iceland Tour. It was scheduled for a morning after our arrival in Iceland.

Our flight was late getting in but Nordurflug had an issue with the morning flight and asked if we would be good to fly at 6pm. It worked out great. Weather was perfect and Andri' made us feel comfortable from the start. This was our first helicopter ride. He is a phenomenal pilot and his Coast Guard experience was reassuring. His expertise showed at our 1st landing.

As we landed, it seemed very calm but we were unaware that winds were gusting 30-50 MPH. Our 2nd landing was flawless and included a champagne toast. We had the opportunity to fly low and cover lots of ground. We were fortunate and Andri' did not have personal plans so he took us to a restaurant so we (customers) could have dinner/drinks. We returned to the airport shortly before it closed. This is a trip that you will remember for the rest of your life. A++++++

We enjoyed our helicopter tour to the geothermal area tremendously, it was a beautiful site which would not be accessible by automobile, and we also got a great view of Reykjavic. Our pilot Bernhard was great, I enjoyed talking flying with him (he flies the Airbus Helicopter and I fly Airbus airliners).

Very nice flight above the volcano. The pilot was very friendly and tell us the most important things about this. Felt very safety the whole flight.

I have rarely seen such a nice and at the same time very professional company. A clear recommendation to book a helicopter flight there! They took care of us from the first minute on! We also have been advised by the CEO himself to change the tour we had originally booked and thus have the most incredible experience that you can have in life. A flight over the active volcano! Excellent service, beautiful helicopters, the pilots and stuff are professional, friendly, nice, and made the flight unbelievably smooth and made sure that everyone had a great view whenever we were around the site. The volcano is awesome! If you are coming to see the volcano or any other place here in Iceland I highly recommend taking one of their tours!

FANTASTIC flight-seeing trip over the volcano, which cooperated by gurgling out lava plentifully. Expensive but with limited time in Iceland was totally worth it!

Very good and comforting staff. The trip had to be extended for a little bit because of cloudy weather in Reykjavik, the pilot was very nice and communicative. Safety was taken seriously and everything went well. A great experience overall!

Got on a tour to Fagradalsfjall Volcano this morning. That was terrific. Very well organized, nice flight, very good part lot and amazing landing on a rocky promontory Olin the middle and f the lava field next to the volcano. We were so lucky.

We took a flight to the erupting volcano. Flight was professional, and marvelous. Pilot was a great tour guide. We landed on the closest hill for 15 minutes and enjoyed there each second of this site. In the office everybody were helpful and kind. You can get there a coffee or a tee. I would have more money and time I would definitely do an other flight with them.
