I had a day trip to Borough Market, booked in May, for travel on 2nd July. Just by chance i was checking other day trips and noticed that they no longer had this on their itinary. I emailed Skills on Sunday 27th June with my concerns and received a reply Monday 28th June that they had cancelled the trip! My daughter had booked a day's holiday from work to accompany me but Skills failed to inform us that they had cancelled.
I went into their Nottingham office to claim a refund. Another surprise awaited me. They can not refund so they have to take my Bank details to send to another department. I questioned that If i had booked it on my card surely they could refund it directly back onto my card. I was unhappy that my Bank details were scribbled onto a scrap of paper for all to see.
I will never use this company again as they are obviously extremely unprofessional. I wonder how long this refund will take now? The pandemic is no excuse for bad service which was the reason i got fobbed off with.

Yet another company that doesn't seem to want to return monies from cancelled holiday SKILLS COACH HOLIDAYS. Requested refund on 3rd August still not received it. That's even after be told 3 times it would go in following Friday. Last Friday even said would definitely go in today. You guessed it still not received it. Will certainly think twice before booking with them again

We've had many a good holiday with Skills Coaches. The coaches are clean and comfortable, with on board toilet. However as I'm now by myself, I would still recommend. There are always people who will talk to you, plus normally at meal times people sit at the same table the whole time. So this helps too, if you are a person who likes to take an interest in others and you like to talk too.
Being single though can have it's drawbacks too, as there are holidays that have to pay for a single supplement. So look for the ones that you don't have to pay, unless you don't mind, and some of them are reasonable. The hotels have on the whole been very clean, comfortable with cheery and helpful staff. There is sometimes free entertainment on on a couple of evenings, however this is normal seen in the holiday brochure.
I've would recommend a holiday village, not for everyone I understand. However there is something to do all do should you wish to, with bingo and superb entertainment on in the evenings. All manor of dancing, to a live band and vocalist. Then amazing shows by the entertainment team, singing, dancing, the outfits are worthy of any top theatres and of course the comedian. Not forgetting the day trips that are put on, these are also seen in the holiday details. So go ahead treat yourself/ yourselves, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I have used Skills for private coach hire and holidays on numerous occasions now and have always found that they are good value for money. but they lack in organizational skills, the drivers are normally very nice and helpful, it's the office staff that let them down, with bad customer service and a bad attitude,

I have used Skills for private coach hire and holidays on numerous occasions now and have always found that they offer an excellent level of service and value for money. I recently enjoyed a London Theatre break weekend and was extremely satisfied with the service that they provided. I would have no hesitation in recommending Skills to anybody looking for a reliable, reasonably priced and customer focused Coach Company.
