About Us Report

Founded in 1988 by Steven Pettitt and Nigel Berry, Pettitts Travel pioneered the concept of tailor-made travel by car in India. Soon their clients were asking them to offer this arrangement in other countries and so the fascinating journey of Pettitts Travel began. The same year as Pettitts Travel began, another local travel company, CT Travel Group, was founded by local entrepreneur, Mark Kempster, which included the leisure brands Packyourbags Travel and a little later on, Medway Leisure Travel.

Did a route 66 journey with Medway (now Pettitts). The trip was for parents 60th birthdays. Had an AMAZING time and was really, really pleased with all the support we received from Astra when planning the journey. It really helped to have someone who knows the route so well. Thanks a lot! Tom

My wife and I have used Pettitts three times: Route 66 (September 2016), Argentina fly/drive (November 2018) and a tour of Uzbekistan with local guides (May 2019). On each occasion the service was professional, courteous and flexible, allowing us to have our own input to the detailed arrangements. On the one occasion when things didn't quite go to plan - industrial action by airport staff in Argentina is not infrequent! - Pettitts stepped in quickly to ensure we were not inconvenienced. We will be using them again.
