My wife and I booked a holiday of a lifetime with Transun to visit Lapland last December, with our son and daughter, their partners and 4 grandchildren. As a special treat we paid and extra 800.00 to do an evening Northern lights/Reindeer Sleigh ride across the lake. We were split into 2 parties of 5 as there were only 3 sleighs and were told they could only carry 2 people each.
When our 1st party arrived they were joined by anther party of 3, 8 people in total. 10 minutes into the sleigh ride the poor Reindeers we're slipping and stumbling across the snow until eventually the "driver" asked the passengers to get out as the reindeer were struggling in the heavy snow, all 8 then refused to allow the reindeer to struggle pulling 3 extra people than they should be pulling and walked back to the starting point.
When they got back we asked what had happened and the "driver" said it was because the new snow was too soft for the reindeer to be able to pull the sleighs. Our second party spoke to the holiday rep. and she said if we didn't wish to go on the trip Transun would give us a full refund on our return, it was very disappointing but we put the animals welfare before the our enjoyment. 4 months later we have eventually received a refund after several emails and our travel agent getting involved, basically Transun said it was our fault we cancelled the trip and no fault of theirs.
Would I really pay 800.00 9 months prior and then disappoint 4 grandchildren and the rest of the party, because this is what Transun are saying. Although we have now had a refund, at no point have Transun made an apology. On another note, although our sleigh ride was cancelled, as it happened there was no sightings of the Northern lights that night, but the next evening on our walk back from the restaurant the Lights started to appear and we had a wonderful 2 hour show, so don't think booking a "Northern light" tour you are going to see them, you are more likely to see them anyway as we did.

Absolutely awful. Stay clear. I booked a day trip to Lapland for my, my mum and my 8 year old daughter several months ago. They have now cancelled a few days ago as they are now only allowing a certain number to go. All Christmas events are now fully booked and I have a very upset 8 year old as this is the second year this has been cancelled. I understand last year, but this year seems a complete mess up on Transun's behalf. Covid has now been around for two years, why did they book so many people onto the trip in the first place. Very upset and disappointed. Would never use them again.

We first went to Lapland with in December 2018 at Christmas on one of the Lapland day trips. The day was excellent and very much enjoyed by our grandchildren. We oldies decided to return to Lapland on our own in February 2021 to see the northern lights but because of the pandemic the trip was cancelled, which we were expecting because of the travel ban. Transun gave us the option of moving the trip to next year or having a refund.
We had to opt for the refund because of my husband's health (not sure if we would be able to go next year). the lady on the telephone was wonderful and helpful and processed the refund straight away and it was in my bank account two days later. We had holidays cancelled by other holiday companies and their refunds took forever (in one case it took nearly 10 months!) If we are able to eventually go to see the northern lights, we will definately choose Transun.

Booked a trip to see Northern Lights with this company. Absolutely amazing holiday, cannot recommend enough!. Did lots of different activities like riding a snowmobile and husky sledding. From start to finish everything was well organised and on schedule. Stayed at the Davvii Artic Lodge were staff were so friendly and helpful and had plentiful supply of food and drinks.

Transun are an awful company with awful customer services. We booked a holiday for Lapalnd in December for 3 adults and 3 kids last February, to be told in September the accomodation we booked isn't available now and they have 'upgraded' us to a cabin elsewhere. 2 hours away from anything and certainly not suitable for children. We now have 3 upset children who we have had to explain we can't go to Lapland now, as it's far too late to get anything like what we originally had booked.
The most annoying thing is, I left a comment on their Facebook page about his upset and disgusted we were and they deleted it. No response, no message from them, nothing, they just simply deleted the comment and moved on. NOT ACCEPTABLE. Do NOT trust them.
